I Want My MTV! Music Television was the first channel you could tune into to watch different music videos 24/7. Debuting with the famous song "Video Killed the Radio Star" by the Buggles, it became the most successful music television service to ever air! In 1981 MTV made an impact by launching its debut off with an actual launch. The footage shown was the Apollo 11 space launch, and a voiceover proclaimed, "Ladies and gentlemen, rock and roll," and with that, MTV was born.
